MISSION STATEMENT: The goal of our church is to join
Him in transforming lives for His glory.
We believe that teaching His word is central
to this, and places a great importance on
teaching people the truths of the scriptures.

SUNDAY SERVICES: Every Sunday morning we hold services at Iglecia Evangelica de Jesucristo in the city of Tumán. We spend time reviewing what was taught during the week at Bible Studies and Tuesday night prayer nights.
We will be starting our new church in November 2006. It is located in Pimentel and will be called Centro Biblico Alto Peru. Alto, Peru, is the area where we minister. Another meaning for the name of this church is "A Place to Learn the Bible."
Please pray for the precious people in these cities, that we can reach more souls for our Saviour.

YOUTH NIGHTS: We are having great success in our services for youth. Friday night is our service in Pimentel for the junior high age group - ages 10 to 13. About 35 kids attend this meeting. We teach them basic Bible truths.
Also in Pimentel, our senior high group meets on Saturday nights. Approximately 35-40 youth attend these services, and here we also teach them basic Bible truths.
We are very excited about all the youth that we are able to reach through these Youth Nights. Some of our youth are also going to the adult Bible studies. We are seeing changed lives - they are leaving the "party scene" and changing the way they talk. The kids are getting serious about God. They earn money to buy their own Bibles, so they are becoming very intent on studying the Word. This is the best time to reach people for the Lord - when they are young. A hunger for the Word is replacing a hunger for things of the world. Please pray for our youth!

BIBLE STUDIES: We have several Bible Study groups in progress. On Thursday nights in Tumán, the men and women are studying I Peter.
The men also meet during the week on Monday nights in Pimentel where they are studying a devotional book. Many youth (boys) are also attending this Bible Study. The men (fathers/husbands) are the key to winning families and are an example to their sons. Please pray for changed lives!
About 15-20 women attend the women's Bible study in Pimentel on Wednesday nights. They are studying a book called "The Woman and Her Place in the Church." As with the men's Bible Study, youth (young girls) are coming to these studies - they are hungry for the Word!
Pimentel is a totally new area where the Gospel has never really been preached before. It is wonderful to see these adults getting immersed in the Word. Pray that more adults wil take the time to come to these studies and hear the Gospel.

SATURDAY BIBLE CLUB: Several ladies from church teach the children every Saturday morning. It is such a pleasure to watch the joy on these childrens' faces as they learn from the Word, do crafts, and sing songs. We now have 80-120 children attending Saturday Bible Club. It is exciting to watch them grow in the Lord. Also, many of the parents are interested in what their children are learning, so we are able to reach parents with the Gospel along with the children.
